The SMOK Mag kit as the name suggests is shaped like a guns “mag” and incorporates a trigger styled firing button. To some, this may seem like a gimmick as SMOK are notorious for just changing their mods cases and names and not the actual hardware inside the device. I absolutely hate guns, however, The shape of the mod is one of the most ergonomic mod designs I have ever held. It fits amazingly in the user’s hand.

Once you pick it up the first thing you will notice is the weight of this mod, It weighs in at a heavy 265 grams, And that is without the two 18650 batteries or the tank fitted.

It has a bright 1-inch crisp OLED display with a pretty nice UI

That being said I dislike the way you have to use the power button to flick through everything with different series of clicks. This makes it challenging for a first time user to navigate through the menu.

TFV12 Prince sub-ohm tank

The kit comes with the TFV12 Prince sub-ohm tank which in the non TPD edition accompanied with the bubble glass can hold an amazing 8ml of ejuice. This typically lasts me for about 5 days as I usually only chain vape it for about 4 minutes about 5 times a day at a low wattage of about 50 watts.

The swivel top fill is absolutely amazing and as of yet, I haven’t had a single leak yet. The Cobra drip tip looks amazing. I have the black and prism variant of the mod which is a huge fingerprint magnet nonetheless it looks absolutely stunning in the sun.

As I said above the non TPD version can hold up to 8ml of ejuice when you are using the bubble glass. The US version also comes with a spare non-bubble glass which lowers the capacity to around 5ml. Because I live in Ireland I revived the TPD edition which comes with only 1 glass piece which can only hold a pesky 2ml under the TPD regulations. I, however, ordered a bubble glass from Amazon which can hold 8ml and works like a beast. I would highly recommend you to buy the 8ml bubble glass as this mod is a cloud beast and really drinks your e juice in no time.

The tank comes pre-installed with the TFV12 Q4 coil which produces decent clouds and packs with huge amounts of flavour. The pack also includes a Q10 coil which can go up to 110W which produces a nice warm vape with huge monster clouds with pretty good flavour but not as good as the Q4 or Q6 coils.

The gold plated 510 connection at the top of the device is spring-loaded and although its diameter measures 28mm, it can easily and comfortably accommodate a tank even up to 30mm in diameter.
